Dorset Shellfish is owned by Caroline Drever, who runs the business with daughter Stef. They believe in providing quality shellfish and fish caught from her partner Grahams boats the Nil Desperandum and Marauder and other day boats working out of Weymouth.
Graham and son Karl run their boats together, one for crabbing and one for line caught Bass fishing. All the fishing methods ensure that any crab, lobster or fish which is not large enough to land is returned to the sea un harmed.
Crab is cooked and handpicked by them, (a labour of love?!) and made into beautiful dressed crab, crab pate and crab soup. All 2012 and 2013 Taste of the West Award winners. They are really excited about 2013 with Red Thai Crab Soup being a new popular addition to their range, wining a Bronze Award at The Taste of the West.
Pots of crab meat, Weymouth Bay Prawns, lobsters and other shellfish delights are also sold by them at Dorset Farmers Markets, Somerset Farmers Markets, food festivals and shows. From Frome to Bridport, Crewkerne to Canford Cliffs.
